Sleeper borders are the quickest way to give a garden shape. They define where the lawn stops and the planting starts, hold back soil on a slope, and turn a flat, formless plot into something with structure.
We install timber sleeper borders and raised beds, garden edging along lawns and pathways, retaining features where ground levels change, and tiered areas on gardens that slope. Layouts are built to the garden rather than to a standard size.
The work that matters is the part you don't see. Sleepers that aren't properly levelled, secured and supported will bow outwards under the weight of wet soil within a couple of seasons. Every run is set level, fixed securely, and built to take the load it's actually going to carry.
They're also the natural companion to fencing — new borders along a freshly fenced boundary make far more of both, and doing them together saves a second visit.
